ProMedica Joins Cleveland Clinic Alliance to Commercialize Innovations

Staff -
Cleveland Clinic and Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica announced a new business relationship in which ProMedica will join Cleveland Clinic's national Innovation Alliance network to commercialize medical innovations.

As part of the alliance, ProMedica will work with Cleveland Clinic Innovations, Cleveland Clinic's corporate venturing arm, to identify commercialization opportunities within ProMedica.

The alliance — which includes the University of Notre Dame (Ind.), Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health and Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System — is designed to identify opportunities for joint development and commercialization of medical innovations. Cleveland Clinic is developing the alliance by collaborating with universities and health systems that can share experience and expertise to quickly bring new technologies to patients.

Cleveland Clinic recently partnered with The Ohio State University in Columbus to accelerate and commercialize medical innovations, such as medical devices, patient services, new medical software systems, consumer products and startup companies.
