The National Rural Health Association's Rural Health Policy Institute and The Chartis Center for Rural Health named the top 100 critical access hospitals and top 100 rural and community hospitals for 2019 on Feb. 6.
The hospitals named to both lists were based on results of the ninth annual Hospital Strength Index survey from iVantage Health Analytics, which ranked hospitals across 50 indicators and eight pillars.
The lists included 19 first-time critical access hospitals and 24 first-time rural and community hospitals.
