Pharmacy technician and medical assistant both earned a spot on CareerBuilder's list of the 10 most in-demand jobs for 2018 that do not require a college degree.
To compile the list, researchers analyzed data from CareerBuilder's labor market analysis division, Emsi. Researchers assessed the average number of employees hired monthly for more than 700 occupations nationwide from January to August. They also examined the number of job postings for each occupation on online job sites during the same period.
For every occupation on the list, job postings exceeded the amount of employees hired.
Pharmacy technician earned the No. 8 spot on the list with 26,808 average monthly job postings and 20,726 average monthly hires. Medical assistant took home the No. 9 spot with 28,641 average monthly job postings and 26,239 average monthly hires.
