11 hospitals make Forbes list of best midsize employers

Forbes has released its 2019 list of “America’s best midsize employers,” which includes hospitals and health systems.

For the list, Forbes worked with market research company Statista to determine the 500 midsize companies liked best by employees, based on an independent survey of 30,000 U.S. workers. Companies on the list have 1,000 to 5,000 U.S. employees.

Here are hospitals and health systems that made the list:

No. 3 — Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (Milwaukee)

No. 47 — Froedtert Health (Milwaukee)

No. 80 — Covenant HealthCare (Saginaw, Mich.)

No. 155 — Southeast Health (Dothan, Ala.)

No. 196 — Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (Boone, N.C.)

No. 237 — Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (St. Petersburg, Fla.)

No. 337 — Doctors Community Hospital (Lanham, Md.)

No. 418 — Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago

No. 432 — Mercy Medical Center (Baltimore)

No. 454 — Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center (Bangor)

No. 494 — Excela Health (Greensburg, Pa.)
