CIGNA Drops $380K for Federal Lobbying in 2Q

Health insurer CIGNA spent $380,000 in the second quarter of 2011 lobbying the federal government on healthcare issues, such as the taxation of employer-provided health coverage and healthcare reform, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

CIGNA's lobbying total was a 36 percent increase over the $280,000 it spent in the first quarter of this year, but it was a 32 percent decrease compared with last year's second quarter, the report said.
