UMMC wins 2 prestigious patient care and safety IHA awards

The University of Maryland Medical Center, based in Baltimore, has been named the winner of the Intelligent Health Association 2016 Award for Improving Patient Care and Health Delivery and the 2016 Intelligent Health Grand Award.

The IHA awards were established in 2012 to recognize healthcare organizations that use technologies for the betterment of patient safety, supply chain and asset management.

Colleen Driscoll, MD, assistant professor at the University of Maryland Hospital for Children, will accept the two awards on behalf of the healthcare system at the upcoming HIMSS Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
