The following is a list of hospitals for which 79 percent or more of patients reported on their HCAHPS surveys that staff always explained a medication before giving it to them.

Data come from Hospital Compare and were collected from Jan. 1, 2015, through Dec. 31, 2015.

For reference, the national average rate of patients reporting hospital staff always explained medications is 65 percent.

Note: Hospitals with fewer than 100 completed surveys were excluded from consideration for this list.
