The Joint Commission Proposes Revisions to Oxygen Related Fires Safety Goal

In light of recent noncompliance with home oxygen use standards, The Joint Commission has proposed revisions to its National Patient Safety Goal on the topic.

Home oxygen use standards were released first in 2007 in response to patients injured or killed as a result of home oxygen use-related fires.
