Tamra Minton appointed VP of nursing and quality for UPMC International

Pittsburgh-based UPMC has tapped Tamra Minton, MSN, RN, to serve as vice president of nursing and quality for UPMC International.

UPMC International is a network of global healthcare partners in Ireland, Italy, China and Kazakhstan that benefit from UPMC's clinical expertise and technological resources. In her new role, Ms. Minton will oversee the sharing and implementation of best practices and measurement of healthcare quality across the global network.

Ms. Minton previously served as system senior director at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, W.Va. Prior to that, she was vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at UPMC East in Monroeville, Pa.

She is a member of the American Organization of Nursing Executives and the American Nurses Association and holds an MBA from Waynesburg (Pa.) University.
