Study: Parents, Grandparents Prefer Research Hospitals for Pediatric Care

More than 80 percent of parents and grandparents prefer a hospital that conducts pediatric research, all other factors being equal, according to University of Michigan survey.

Researchers surveyed 758 Michigan residents who are the parents or grandparents of children aged 0 to 17.

Additionally, 1 in 4 respondents said they would be interested in having their children or grandchildren take part in medical research, though only 2 percent had done so before.
