Study: Lower BMI May Increase Risk of 30-Day Mortality

Patients with a BMI of less than 23.1 showed 40 percent higher odds of 30-day mortality, compared to patients in the middle range (26.3-29.7) for BMI, according to research published in the Archives of Surgery.
