Study: Hospital Increases Antibiotic Compliance With QI Strategies

A children’s hospital increased the rate of compliance to antibiotic prescribing standards by implementing quality improvement techniques, according to a study in Pediatrics.

Researchers studied the use of QI methods to implement the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society/Infectious Disease Society of America guideline recommendations for appropriate first-line antibiotic therapy in children with community-acquired pneumonia.
