St. Joseph’s/Candler’s programs address disparities in care, access to care, basic life issues like housing and nutrition as well as education, according to the report.
The $100,000 prize is sponsored by the Baxter International Foundation, the American Hospital Association and the Health Research & Educational Trust. Seton Healthcare Family in Austin, Texas, Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center and Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital were finalists and received $10,000 each.
