Rep. Edward Markey Calls on HHS, IOM to Find Solutions for Alarm Fatigue
In a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Rep. Edward Markey (D-Walden) of Massachusetts said the IOM should produce guidelines that help both device manufacturers and healthcare providers prevent alarm fatigue and reduce patient harm, according to a Boston Globe report.
