The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care offers complimentary resources to help ambulatory care centers improve patient safety and quality of care.

Ambulatory Surgery and Venous Thromboembolism is a tool including the Caprini Thrombosis Risk Factor Assessment tool for pre-procedural screening for risk of developing blood clots, which have the potential to become deadly pulmonary embolisms. The tool also includes tips for prevention of VTEs as well as a quick guide for VTE signs, symptoms and management.
