Overall Hospital Admissions Play Biggest Role in Readmission Rates
Researchers have concluded high hospital readmission rates in different regions may have more to do with the overall high use of hospital services in those regions than with the severity of patients’ particular conditions or problems with transitional care, according to research published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
