The Betsy Lehman Center was named after the Boston Globe health reporter who died in 1994 from an overdose of chemotherapy for breast cancer. Sen. Moore, who is also co-chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing, criticized the Patrick and Romney administrations for prioritizing lower healthcare costs, which he said could be achieved by addressing preventable medical errors.
His criticism comes ahead of a healthcare payment reform bill that is expected to be released from his committee later this spring.
