Invidasys delivers market's first cloud-based claims adjudication platform

Brooke Murphy -

Invidasys a Mesa, Ariz.-based software engineering firm that develops component solutions for health insurance plans, announced Tuesday it is first in the market to offer a fully cloud-based set of solutions for claims adjudication.

Family Health Network, a Chicago-based group of nonprofit health plans governed by local medical providers, went live with the software, VIDASuite, on Nov. 3.

Over the past 24 months, Invidasys and FHN rolled out six separate, multi-component events. By implementing a series of software solutions rather than a single comprehensive system release, Invidasys believed their claims platform could more successfully adapt to FHN needs within a shifting regulatory healthcare landscape.

"The modular Invidasys platform provides all the benefits of a single core administrative platform without the heavy overhead and annual upgrade cycles," said Keith Kudla, CEO of Family Health Network.

Invidasys and FHN first deployed component solutions VIDACounter, VIDABility and VIDAPro before rounding out the VIDASuite platform with additional components, including VIDAPlan, VIDAClaim, VIDAServ and VIDAContract.

The program uses Microsoft's platform, Azure, and is built on a proprietary workflow platform, VIDAFlow.
