Flu shot gets spotlight at Golden Globes

Golden Globes hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg brought flu prevention into the spotlight by offering audience members free flu shots during the Jan. 6 awards show, reports The Eastsider.

"Roll up your sleeves, Hollywood, because you're all getting flu shots," Ms. Oh said during the 76th annual awards show. On cue, a group of people in white lab coats walked through the audience holding syringes while LMFAO's song "Shots" played in the background.

"If you are an anti-vaxxer, just put a napkin on — perhaps over — your head and we will skip you," Mr. Samberg joked.

He said the flu shots were "from the Rite Aid at Echo Park" — a neighborhood in Los Angeles — but Vanity Fair later reported the vaccines were fake.
