Eleanor Health opens 1st outpatient addiction clinic in North Carolina

Mooresville, N.C.-based Eleanor Health opened its first addiction clinic designed to achieve long-term patient recovery using a value-based care model.

The clinic represents the first of up to 15 sites Eleanor Health plans to open in the next year. The company will focus on sites in North Carolina before expanding nationwide.

Eleanor Health aims to treats addiction as a chronic disease. The company offers treatment services through outpatient clinics, community settings and at patients’ homes. Treatment may include medication assisted treatment, psychiatric evaluation, individual and group therapy, and peer recovery coaching.

Part of Eleanor Health's model also focuses on coordinating care between healthcare and social services, while emphasizing the importance of community. The company's value-based payment structure allows patients to pay for services based on the positive health outcomes achieved. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is also collaborating with Eleanor Health to expand access to its treatment services.
