Glens Falls (N.Y.) Hospital restricted access to its outpatient cancer center Sept. 13 due to bedbugs, reports The Post-Star.

The restriction came after staff members discovered that a patient seeking treatment at the C.R. Wood Cancer Center had bedbugs.

"In response, we are restricting the area and implementing a thorough cleaning to ensure the safety and well-being of all our patients and community," Katelyn Cinzio, director of marketing and communications at Glens Falls Hospital, told The Post-Star.

The hospital contacted patients to reschedule appointments, and leaders expect the facility to reopen by Sept. 16, according to Ms. Cinzio.
