AMGA recognized Tyler, Texas-based Christus Trinity Clinic with its 2018 Acclaim Award.
The award is supported by the AMGA Foundation. It "recognize[s] and celebrate[s] the successes that medical groups and other organized systems of care have achieved in improving the value — the quality and cost of care — of the healthcare services they provide to their communities," according to AMGA.
Christus Trinity Clinic, part of Tyler-based Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health System, is a nonprofit multispecialty practice that includes more than 650 physicians and advanced practice professionals and more than 80 locations throughout northeast Texas.
AMGA specifically noted the clinic's various quality improvement and cost reduction efforts "while achieving and maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction and provider engagement." The group also noted the clinic's adherence to AMGA's High-Performing Health System attributes and commitment to their mission.
"Receiving the AMGA's Acclaim Award is a wonderful recognition of the effort and dedication built upon the foundation set forth by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of Houston, and the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio many years ago," Chris Glenney, senior vice president of group operations for Christus Health and Christus Trinity Clinic and CEO of Christus Health Northeast Texas, said in a statement. "Through the faith-based efforts of our providers, staff and associates, Christus Trinity Clinic will not only continue to serve the people of Northeast Texas diligently, but grow to expand access to the highest quality healthcare as Northeast Texans have come to expect."
Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine and Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Medical Associates were also named Acclaim Award honorees. More information on all three honorees is available here.
