48 hospitals with the lowest heart failure mortality rates

The following 48 hospitals have a 30-day death rate for heart failure patients of 8.4 or lower, some of the lowest in the nation. Data was taken from CMS' Hospital Compare.

For comparison, the national rate of 30-day mortality for heart failure is 11.7, according to Hospital Compare.

These rates reflect data measured from July 2009 through June 2012.
