46% of Consumers Would Not Change Their Behavior Due to Changes in Benefits, Wellness Programs

Nearly half of consumers said that they have not changed their behavior as a result of changes their employers made with regard to health benefits or wellness programs, according to “Top Health Industry Issues of 2013,” by PwC’s Health Research Institute.

For the report, researchers polled 1,000 consumers about a range of healthcare topics.

When asked whether changes in benefit offerings or wellness programs have influenced their behavior, survey respondents reported the following:

•    No — 46 percent
•    Yes— 21 percent
•    Unsure — 7 percent
