ICU and medical-surgical nurses are the most in-demand among all travel nurse specialties, according to a report by Trusted Health, a nurse-staffing firm.
The report includes data from a review of more than 18,000 jobs in the U.S.
Here are the top 10 most in-demand travel nurse specialties:
● ICU nurses (account for 16.5 percent of the total jobs in the dataset reviewed)
● Medical-surgical nurses (account for 10.9 percent)
● Operating room nurses (account for 9.1 percent)
● Emergency room nurses (account for 8.8 percent)
● Float pool nurse (account for 6.8 percent)
● Telemetry nurse (account for 6.1 percent)
● Labor and delivery nurse (account for 5.7 percent)
● Post-anesthesia care unit nurse (account for 5.5 percent)
● Step-down unit nurse (account for 2.6 percent)
● Neonatal intensive care unit nurse (account for 2.4 percent)
