Alia Paavola -

Enola, Pa.-based Post Acute Medical will construct a $17 million rehabilitation hospital in Round Rock, Texas, according to the Statesman.

The new 48,000-square-foot facility will house 40 beds and a specialized unit designed to treat patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries and strokes. It will provide both inpatient and outpatient therapy services.

PAM won approval from the Round Rock City Council Sept. 28 for the new facility. It is expected to be completed in 2019. The rehabilitation hospital will be constructed by Houston-based Medistar Corp.

"Throughout all the communities we serve, we put the patient first and provide comprehensive, individualized treatment that fosters meaningful improvement and recovery for people with injuries, illnesses and disabilities," Anthony Misitano, president and CEO of PAM, told the Statesman.
