LHC Group announced the company's new senior medical advisor, Dr. Benjamin Doga.

LAFAYETTE, La. (December 5, 2019) – Lafayette-based LHC Group has announced that Dr. Benjamin Doga – previously part-time chief medical officer – has transitioned into a new role as the company’s senior medical advisor.
Dr. Doga is a longtime member of the local and regional medical community and continues to maintain a general and family medicine practice in Lafayette. He joined LHC Group in 2014 and served in a part-time capacity until the company hired a full-time CMO in July.
In this new capacity, Dr. Doga will advise the chairman and CEO, the board of directors, and the board’s quality committee – in conjunction with the full-time CMO, Dr. Tricia Nguyen – on all medical aspects of clinical delivery models and programs.
In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Doga will also:
- serve as lead medical director overseeing all local agency medical directors
- serve as a permanent member of the company’s internal quality committee
- participate in internal operations meetings, compliance meetings, clinical workgroups, and committees, etc., as requested by the chairman and CEO, chief compliance officer, chief clinical officer, or general counse
- advise the board and management team in areas of risk
