NYC Health highlights mental health, LGBT care in new street banner campaign

NYC Health + Hospitals has started a street banner campaign spanning 68 neighborhoods around the system's patient care sites.

The campaign promotes various service areas, including mental health, youth health and LGBT health. The 840 total banners appear in 13 different languages, including Spanish, Haitian, Creole, Arabic and Mandarin.

"The banners are public invitation and a visual representation of our integrated healthcare delivery system," said system President and CEO Ramanathan Raju, MD. "They also send a strong message about what we value: community wellness, quality care, cultural diversity and access to affordable health insurance coverage."

In addition to touting key service lines, the banners also market MetroPlus Health Plan, its health insurance plan.

The street banner campaign is the second major advertising push the public health system has made this year. NYC Health + Hospitals targeted New Yorkers ages 12 to 21 in a social media ad campaign focused on sexual and reproductive healthcare services, featuring emoji.
