Three of the top 10 healthiest cities in the U.S. are in California, according to an analysis by WalletHub.

To identify the healthiest cities in the U.S., WalletHub's analysts compared 174 U.S. cities, including the 150 most populated cities, across four dimensions — healthcare, food, fitness and green space — using 40 metrics. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for a healthy lifestyle. Analysts then calculated overall scores for each city using its weighted average across all metrics.
