Demand for COVID-19 vaccines at CVS locations has dropped by about 30 percent, CEO Karen Lynch told The Wall Street Journal May 4.
Now that most people who are enthusiastic about getting vaccinated against COVID-19 have already received a shot, CVS is focusing on vaccinating the "part of the population that says, 'I'm only going to get it if it’s easy and convenient and if I happen to be in a place where I can get it,'" Ms. Lynch told the Journal.
To reach that population, CVS, as well as rival Walgreens, have begun offering same-day and walk-in vaccine appointments to increase uptake.
CVS has administered more than 17 million COVID-19 vaccine doses. Vaccines are available at more than 8,300 U.S. locations.
