Cigna, CVS Health, Surescripts to discuss prescription drug transparency at HIMSS

Executives from CVS Health, Surescripts and Cigna will speak about how to make drug price information more accessible at the point of care at HIMSS19, companies said Jan. 28.

Surescripts CEO Tom Skelton; CVS Health Executive Vice President and CMO Troyen Brennan, MD; and Cigna Chief Clinical Officer Steve Miller, MD, will discuss how to improve patients' access to prescription drug costs and benefit plans at the conference.

"HIMSS is a chance for the industry to assess progress, engage with other leaders and chart a path forward," Mr. Skelton said in a news release. "Our focus is on how prescription price transparency and interoperability solutions are achieving value-based care's goals of improved care for individuals, better population health management and lower costs."
