Premier Health hospitals no longer in CareSource's Just4Me network

Effective Aug. 1, Dayton, Ohio-based CareSource will cease paying Premier Health hospitals for most services insured under its Just4Me health plans, Dayton Daily News reported.

CareSource, a Medicaid managed care provider and commercial health insurer, based its decision on increasing costs. CareSource instead joined an agreement with Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network, which will now provide services under Just4Me, which is a Qualified Health Plan issuer in the Health Insurance Marketplace and Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange.

Seven thousand members are under the Just4Me insurance plan, and about 400 received healthcare at Premier in the past year, according to Dayton Daily News. CareSource will continue paying for some services used by terminally ill patients, pregnant women in their second or trimester up through postpartum visits and those who are currently in active care plans.

Just4Me members who wish to continue care at Premier after Aug. 1 are required to be authorized by CareSource.
