Ohio children on Medicaid now qualify for vaccination incentive

Children age 12 and older on Medicaid are eligible for Ohio's $100 COVID-19 vaccination incentive, cincinnati.com reported Aug. 25.

The incentive builds on a vaccination incentive for adults, which was also extended until the end of the year from its original deadline of Sept. 15. Children are now being added to the mix as leaders brace for the school year.

"Getting students 12 and up vaccinated will provide peace of mind to parents, caregivers and educators," Kelly O'Reilly, CEO of the Ohio Association of Health Plans, said in a statement to cincinnati.com. "Vaccination is the surest way to protect teens against COVID-19."
