Humana Tricare members regain in-network access to 5 Tenet hospitals

Beneficiaries covered under Humana Tricare regained in-network access Jan. 1 to Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health's hospitals, outpatient centers and physician clinics, which are owned by Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.

The agreement extends to Brookwood Baptist's five hospitals across Alabama: Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster and Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. The hospitals and Brookwood Baptist Health's outpatient centers and physician offices had been out of network for Humana Tricare beneficiaries for more than a year.

"We are pleased that Humana Tricare beneficiaries will regain in-network access to our care network in the communities that we serve," said Keith Parrott, president and CEO of Brookwood Baptist Health. "We look forward to once again serving as the provider of choice for military beneficiaries and their families with Humana Tricare health insurance."
