The philanthropic division of Louisville, Ky.-based Humana appointed Walter Woods CEO.
Here are three things to know.
1. Mr. Woods began his role at the Humana Foundation this week.
2. He has 30 years of corporate and nonprofit experience. He most recently served as president of the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Foundation in Sioux Falls, S.D., and also served in leadership roles with the AARP Foundation, the World Bank and the Boys & Girls Clubs.
3. Mr. Woods will succeed interim Humana Foundation head Pattie Dale Tye. Ms. Tye will move to lead the insurer's community health efforts.
