Former Optum exec picked to lead HIT firm's federal strategy

Health IT service management company CNSI hired a former Optum executive to head up its federal health agency business, according to Washington Technology

Melissa Fannin, who has 25 years of healthcare experience, will join the Rockville, Md.-based company as senior vice president of federal business development.

While at Optum, Ms. Fannin was vice president of business development and account executive for its health and human services department business.

She also has nearly a decade of experience in the federal government, including roles at CMS and the FDA.
