Clover Health, Thyme Care collaborate on cancer care partnership

Nashville, Tenn.-based insurance startup Clover Health is partnering with Nashville, Tenn.-based Thyme Care to collaborate on cancer care for underserved seniors.

Announced Sept. 1, the partnership means that Clover's Medicare Advantage members across New Jersey will be able to receive Thyme Care's high-touch, tech-enabled care navigation for cancer.

Thyme Care was founded by former Flatiron Health executives. It uses a technology-rooted approach to determine early risk factors and personalize support and resources for cancer patients.

"The work we're doing with Thyme Care is an excellent example of our ability to plug innovative solutions into the Clover Assistant that allow us to assist primary care physicians with their patients' care," said Andrew Toy, president and chief technology officer of Clover Health. "Getting a cancer diagnosis is devastating, especially for seniors who are already managing multiple chronic conditions. We believe the support and care coordination provided through this partnership will go a long way in helping our members live better lives."
