Cigna rejects 2 takeover bids from Anthem

Within the past 10 days Anthem has made two takeover bids for Cigna, and Cigna has rejected both of them, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The most recent takeover bid from Anthem was at about $175 a share, according to the report, which relied on information from people familiar with the matter.

This news comes as there are talks of another major health insurer, Humana, possibly being acquired. Humana has entered takeover talks with both Cigna and Aetna.
