Cigna appointed Jim Hickey, a former executive for Aetna, as market president for its South Texas commercial plans.
In his new role, Mr. Hickey will lead Cigna's relationships with local hospitals, physicians and other providers.
Mr. Hickey joins Cigna from Aetna, where he served as vice president of Texas and regional vice president for the South Central Territory Medicare Plans. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at WellPoint/UniCare, UniCare Health Plans of Texas, Great-West Healthcare, Humana and PCA Health Plans of Texas.
Mr. Hickey is replacing Mike Koehler, who is retiring.
