Centene to offer $1.8B in senior notes

Centene has offered to sell $1.8 billion of senior notes.

The offering will include an add-on to its 2.45 percent senior notes due 2028 and new senior notes due 2031, according to a July 29 news release.

Centene said it will use the net proceeds in combination with cash on hand and a portion of the proceeds of certain term loans to redeem all of its 5.375 percent senior notes as well as notes issued by its Delaware subsidiary WellCare, due 2026.

Fitch Ratings gave the issuance a 'BB+' rating.
