Centene CEO made 396x median employee in 2018

Michael Neidorff, the CEO of Centene Corp., made 396 times what an average employee at the health insurer made in fiscal year 2018, according to a recent proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The median compensation for Centene employees was $66,021, compared to Mr. Neidorff's $26.1 million. Centene has 47,444 employees.

Under the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, businesses are required to disclose CEO pay ratios in regulatory filings for fiscal years starting on or after Jan. 1, 2017.

In comparison, Humana CEO Bruce Broussard made 231 times what an average employee at the health insurer did in 2018.
