Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin named Ted Osthelder as president, where he will helm the state's Medicaid health plans.
Mr. Osthelder steps over from his former position on Anthem's public affairs team, focusing on the insurer's consumer and Medicaid plans in Wisconsin.
His resume also includes 15 years in the state's political spheres. Mr. Osthelder has also helped lead the Wisconsin Collaborative Insurance Co., a joint venture between Anthem and Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Aurora Health, since 2016.
