Anthem is one of six inaugural organizations working with Seattle-based nonprofit Fair Pay Workplace to ensure it identifies and closes gender and racial pay gaps.
The payer was given certification after its practices were held to transparent rules and standards, according to a Sept. 15 announcement.
The certification holds Anthem to following an action plan to promote internal pay equity.

American Airlines, Databricks, NerdWallet, Sellen Construction and University of California, Irvine were also in the inaugural group.
