Aetna, US News & World Report team up to study healthcare access in American communities

U.S. News & World Report and Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna's charitable foundation launched a project to research, analyze and report how communities with inventive policies and partnerships are changing citizens' health, The Hartford Business Journal reports.

The U.S. News/Aetna Foundation Healthiest Communities multimedia platform will highlight how public policies and government leaders best serve their communities, the report states. Garth Graham, president of the Aetna Foundation, told The Hartford Business Journal the report aims to ignite change "in the way communities think about and pursue improvements in public health."

The Healthiest Communities project will be released in 2018. It is the third multimedia platform of its kind U.S. News created.
