7 recent payer executive moves

The following payers announced executive moves since mid-April, as reported by Becker's Hospital Review:

1. AmeriHealth Caritas appointed Scott Westover market president of AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire.

2. Teresa Kline, CEO of Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System's Health Alliance Plan, will retire June 30.

3. MVP Health Care, a health plan in New York, hired former Health Care Service Corp. executive Bruce Himelstein, MD, as its CMO.

4. Matthew Fitzsimmons, Cigna's U.S. privacy officer and lead cybersecurity counsel, left the company for a new position at Shipman & Goodwin.

5. Pittsburgh-based UPMC's health insurance division appointed Joon Lee, MD, CMO, effective May 15.

6. Outgoing Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming CEO Rick Schum handed the reins to BCBS of Wyoming Vice President Diane Gore May 1.

7. Ken Janda, CEO of Community Health Choice in Houston, abruptly stepped down April 11.
