15 health plans members like the most

The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan was the highest-ranked health plan in five of the 22 regions included in consumer insight firm J.D. Power's annual member satisfaction survey, taking more top spots than any other insurer.

The 2019 Commercial Member Health Plan Study measures satisfaction of nearly 30,000 members across 146 health plans in 22 U.S. regions. J.D. Power determines its list using six metrics: billing and payment, cost, coverage and benefits, customer service, information and communication, and provider choice.

Here are the 15 health plans that members like the most, listed alphabetically below and followed by the region or regions it was the top performer in:
