The Veterans Administration entered into a provider agreement with Atlantic City, N.J-based AtlantiCare to enhance veteran's access to care by granting VA Choice Program members access to AtlantiCare facilities, with approval from the VA.
Under the agreement, veterans will seek approval from the VA for non-emergency care and notify the VA after emergency care. In the upcoming weeks, leaders from both organizations will discuss how they can improve coordination of care.

Through this new model, we will continue to work with the VA, and to listen to and learn from veterans, as we expand the care we provide those who have, and are serving our country," said Lori Herndon, president and CEO of AtlantiCare.
