Sutter, Kaiser hospitals reopen after wildfire

Two hospitals in Santa Rosa, Calif., have reopened to patients after a wildfire forced the facilities to evacuate for at least a week, according to The North Bay Business Journal.

Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital had been closed for nine days. It resumed inpatient and emergency care services Nov. 5. Elective surgeries resumed Nov. 6. 

Sutter's hospital was forced to move about 90 patients to other locations Oct. 26 as the wildfire approached. 

After being closed for seven days, Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa reopened to patients Nov. 2. 

The hospital had to transfer 110 patients to other Kaiser facilities on Oct. 26 due to the wildfire.
