Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth locked down its hospitals in Springfield, Ore., and Eugene, Ore., overnight March 7 after security officials found a suspicious man on the Springfield hospital's campus, The Register-Guard reports.
Three things to know:
1. Security officials escorted a man found on the campus of PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend to his car and locked down the hospital around 5:45 p.m., a hospital spokesperson told the publication.
2. The spokesperson said officials opted to lock down the Eugene campus as well because the two are "sister cities."
3. In a March 8 statement, PeaceHealth said both facilities would be partially locked down through March 10 with security officers checking badges, bags and purses at all open entrances, according to a second Register-Guard report.
