Boston-based Partners HealthCare entered into an agreement with Circulation to coordinate medical transportation logistics for its patients.
Circulation offers an on-demand digital ride-ordering platform. Via the platform, users have access to partners such as Lyft as well as specialized transport providers, including wheelchair and stretcher services.
Partners hopes to address social determinants of health affecting its patients by offering these transportation services. Lack of transportation is a major reason patients forgo care. Additionally, the partnership can be expanded to include services for Partners employees.
More than 500 health facilities in 40-plus states now partner with Circulation.
